Sunday 7th November was a special day in the recent history of St Peter’s! We were delighted to welcome Rev Jonathan Brewster to officiate at his first service with us. There was a good turn out of 20 for this Book of Common Prayer Holy Communion service. The theme from the readings was ‘discipleship’ – the Gospel was from Mark chapter 1 when Jesus called his first disciples to become ‘fishers of men’. The sermon invited us to ponder the deep question: What is the point of our existence? We were reminded that we should strive to be ‘the best version of ourselves’. Our worship was enhanced once again by James Garnett’s playing of our wonderful organ.
