Epiphany

The Magi

The Magi are making their way to the crib – you might have expected them to have arrived by today… but this year there is a bit of a delay!…

Sunday 2nd January 2022 was when most churches probably celebrated Epiphany. However, at St Peter’s we decided that we would hold on until the 9th. That was when we had planned to hold our Epiphany Lunch – a celebration for the congregation and friends of the church. It is also when we invite all those who have officiated at services at St Peter’s in the preceding year to join us for a meal – so we can express (again) our thanks for their help and support. (This has been especially valued over the last couple of years.)

Sadly, we have had reluctantly decided to postpone this meal until a later date. Many people are too concerned about the spread of the Omicron virus – and it is not sensible to carry on with our planned arrangements in these circumstances.
